The Master of Counselling offers advanced expertise in specialized counselling areas and research methods, catering to professionals seeking career advancement. This program allows for tailored study, accommodating diverse interests and experiences.
There are two distinct tracks:
- Master of Counselling (Advanced Practice): Designed for registered professionals in counselling-related fields, emphasizing professional development without mandatory placements or attendance requirements.
- Master of Counselling (Qualifying Specialisations): Ideal for those seeking entry into the counselling profession, built upon prior completion of the Graduate Diploma of Counselling or equivalent. Credits from the Graduate Diploma count towards this master’s degree.
Graduates are poised for roles as Accredited Counsellors specializing in diverse areas, Mental Health Practitioners, or professionals in counselling and support services for health, women, disability, children, migration, and refugees. Further studies enable specialization in family, marriage, or trauma counseling through accreditation with the Australian Counselling Association.

To enroll in Master of Counselling, it is vital that applicants collect the following prior to applying:
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree
- Letter of Recommendation
- English Language Proficiency Requirements (Overall Band Score 6.5 not less than 6.0)
- Transcripts of all previous academic degrees (To be translated in English and approved by translator)
