  • The Master of Arts (TESOL) at King’s Own Institute is a comprehensive program offering a professional qualification in teaching English to diverse language speakers. Comprising 12 subjects, including 9 core modules and 3 elective subjects, studied over 3 trimesters, this course prepares students for varied educational settings by fostering essential teaching skills and offering exposure to industry practices through practicum placements facilitated in collaboration with Sydney’s leading language teaching providers. The program is designed to equip aspiring and experienced educators with advanced theoretical knowledge in second language teaching, classroom strategies, language assessment, and curriculum development for both physical and online teaching environments.

    By undertaking the Master of Arts (TESOL), students gain an internationally recognized skill set, enabling effective communication across diverse cultural and linguistic contexts. This program caters to prospective teachers seeking foundational expertise and experienced educators aspiring to elevate their qualifications. It involves synchronous and asynchronous online sessions, offering a dynamic learning environment where students explore language acquisition theories, pedagogical approaches, and practical teaching methodologies. The supervised practicum, spanning approximately 30 hours, grants students hands-on teaching experience under mentorship, fostering observation and active participation in real classroom settings.   • To enroll in the Master of Arts (TESOL), applicants must collect the following prior to applying:

    • Minimum 2.45 CGPA in Bachelor
    • Letter of Recommendation
    • English Language Proficiency Requirements (IELTS: IELTS score of a minimum of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 or equivalent)
    • Transcripts of all previous academic degrees (To be translated in English and approved by translator)
