Students explore child protection, cross-cultural studies, Indigenous studies, human rights, law, mental health, and social policy alongside in-depth insights into social theories and frameworks crucial for social work practice. Emphasizing reflexive practice, the curriculum integrates industry placements within regulated early childhood education services, fostering the development of practical competencies.

Graduates emerge as proficient and adaptable early childhood educators, capable of addressing diverse learning needs from birth to five years old. Accredited by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Authority (ACECQA), the program covers early childhood development, education theory, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques aligned with national and state early learning frameworks (EYLF and VEYLDF). Upon completion, graduates can seek employment opportunities in early learning and childcare centers, kindergarten teaching (both private and public sectors), and government agencies, offering rewarding careers supporting young children’s growth and development. Additionally, ACECQA approval enables graduates to pursue roles in public or private kindergartens, long-day-care centers, and early childhood centers specifically within the state of Victoria, Australia.
