he Doctor of Engineering (DEng) program at EIT empowers students to spearhead advancements in engineering by addressing practical challenges within their professional domain and the broader engineering landscape. Throughout the three-year program, graduates cultivate the ability to make pioneering contributions to the evolution, application, and assessment of specialized knowledge relevant to their field. This includes addressing critical industrial and community concerns, thereby assuming leadership roles in research endeavors related to their expertise.
In the initial year, candidates engage in four academic coursework units and develop a research project proposal, showcasing their research capabilities through a comprehensive literature review. The second year intensifies the focus, with four additional units diving deeper into discipline-specific concepts and their application to real-world industry issues. This phase emphasizes the nexus between theoretical frameworks and professional practice, preparing candidates for their doctoral-level dissertation in the final year.
The culminating phase in the third year centers on the dissertation, extending the candidate’s prior research work to make a substantial, original contribution to knowledge applicable in industrial contexts. This final phase involves synthesizing the research training, coursework, and previous research to produce a significant body of work at AQF Level 10. Candidates receive academic supervision and industry guidance essential for producing innovative and impactful research within their professional sphere.

To enroll in Doctor of Engineering, applicants must collect the following before applying:
- Minimum qualification Master
- Letter of Recommendation
- English Language Proficiency Requirements (Overall IELTS (Academic) band score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0, or equivalent.)
- Transcripts of all previous academic degrees (To be translated in English and approved by the translator)
