The Bachelor of Screen Production at Excelsia College, delivered in partnership with Sydney Film School, is a dynamic 3-year full-time program. Accredited by Excelsia College, the course leverages the expertise of Excelsia staff, many of whom are also Sydney Film School lecturers, ensuring a comprehensive education in line with Excelsia’s policies and procedures. The program unfolds at both the Sydney Film School Waterloo Studios campus and Excelsia’s Macquarie Park campus, offering students access to state-of-the-art facilities and a supportive learning environment.
Students benefit from a unique model of training that is value-driven, heavily practical, industry-informed, professionally sustainable, and socially directed. The curriculum includes hands-on experience with around 100 short films produced annually, personalized production budgets, and the opportunity to accumulate 12 to 16 screen credits over two years. Access to acting students through Excelsia College’s Dramatic Art program and Sydney Actors School further enriches the learning experience. Throughout the course, students engage in various roles across diverse productions, cultivating a versatile skill set for the industry. Organized into working film crews, they practice on-set exercises, develop creative and organizational documentation, and work on screen productions such as short films, web series pilots, documentaries, and experimental projects. The program uniquely combines theory and philosophy for contemporary filmmakers, providing a rich cinematic exploration and inspiring filmmakers and creatives through compelling storytelling narrative, self-reflection, and modern industry practice.

To enroll in the Bachelor of Screen Production, it is vital that applicants collect the following prior to applying:
- CGPA of 2.8 in High School – 10 + 2
- Letter of Recommendation
- English Language Proficiency Requirements (IELTS 6.0 (with no band less than 6.0)
- Transcripts of all previous academic degrees (To be translated in English and approved by translator)
