Embark on a transformative educational journey with the Bachelor of Psychological Science and Counselling at ACAP, Australia, designed for those who aspire to positively impact lives. Rooted in the understanding that one in four Australians may experience mental illness, this program is crucial for contributing to community well-being. Accredited by the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the Navitas Professional Institute (NPI), this course provides deep insights into the intricacies of human thought and behavior, the societal influences on actions, and the empowerment of individuals for positive change. At the core of the program is a distinctive industry work placement, encompassing 200 hours of experiential learning, including 40 hours of face-to-face client counseling. Linked with two clinical supervision units over consecutive trimesters, this placement is complemented by 140 hours of voluntary work undertaken in the final year. This hands-on experience, synonymous with ACAP’s approach, ensures students are well-prepared for the challenges and rewards of their future careers.
Throughout the Bachelor of Psychological Science and Counselling, students explore evidence-based approaches, professional issues, research methodology, and diverse aspects of psychology, including biology, learning, cognition, social psychology, psychopathology, and intercultural diversity. Elective courses, such as Personality and Individual Differences, Behavioral Neuroscience, and Psychology of Sex and Intimate Relationships, allow for specialization based on personal interests. Graduates emerge not only with a comprehensive understanding of psychology but also with practical skills gained through industry placements, positioning them for diverse career opportunities. This program equips students to make meaningful contributions to the well-being of individuals and society at large. Please note that this course is not available to international students on campus in Perth, Brisbane, or Adelaide.

- English Language Proficiency Requirements (IELTS overall band of 6.0 with no individual band below 5.5 completed in the last two years or equivalent)
- Transcripts of all previous academic degrees (To be translated in English and approved by the translator)
